I am leaving today for a week in Florida, so there will be reviews of the Spring 2010 couture shows posted each day at 8a. I will leave you, however, with encouragement to bop on over to MAC cosmetics and buy some makeup for a good cause.
MAC's Viva Glam campaign was established in 1994. The campaign sells lipsticks endorsed by various celebrities - this round is represented by Cyndi Lauper and Lady Gaga - and EVERY RED FREAKING CENT of the purchase price goes to the MAC AIDS Fund, which has raised over $160 million since its inception. AIDS is still a serious problem, and it's awesome to see a public-minded company working so hard at getting help where it's needed.
Go on over to MAC and pick up at least one of the lipsticks. Cyndi's on the left, Gaga's on the right. Though I love my girl Gaga, it's the Cyndi shade that will work on everyone...Gaga's for the person in your life who's a little funkier. It can be for you, or for your Mom, for your girlfriend, for your best friend, whoever...and then go and get yourself tested. Get tested for yourself and for the people you care about. Knowledge is power!
